Cotswold self catering accommodation at King John's Barn in Oxfordshire

King John's Barn is an award winning self catering pair of holiday cottages, individually called The Gallery and Oak Tree Cottage, and set in an elevated rural position with far reaching views. Situated on the edge of a working cattle and sheep farm which was many years ago part of Henry VIII’s Hunting Lodge within the Royal Wychwood Forest, the barn which gets its name from King John who also visited the area, was sympathetically converted to provide two very individual cottages which can now accommodate 2 or up to 10 guests when both booked together.

The Gallery and Oak Tree Cottage are situated near Burford in the Cotswolds, King Johns Barn is therefore within very easy reach of many beautiful and interesting centres including Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick, Cheltenham, Broadway, Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the Wold, Cirencester and Bibury. There is however plenty to do in the area for all ages and with this in mind we welcome families, single groups and if you need to bring your dog then they are welcome in The Gallery.

King John's Barn is a haven of peace and tranquility with outstanding views so if you just wish to get away from it all then this is the place to be, surrounded by fields with only a few cottages nearby you can really experience the rural idyll.

King Johns Barn has been awarded SILVER (meaning Good basic environmental practice) by The Green Tourism Business Scheme (GTBS), which is the largest and most successful environmental accreditation body for tourism businesses in Europe, and has again for the third year in a row been awarded a Gold Award alongside the 4 stars from Enjoy England.
